Accountant - Synergy

To ensure accuracy in accounting transactions and preparing all accounts in the correct manner in adherence with accounting rules, applicable laws and internal standards



1. Maintain financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures

2. Post all transactions and ensure that they are authorized, documented and classified

3. Archive all documents such as payment vouchers and related contracts and agreements

4. Update the system as per internal and external audit requirements; Assist auditors with information required

5. Meet accounts commitments in an accurate and timely manner

6. Coordinate in periodic reconciliation of vendor records in order to ensure accurate records;

7. Assist in year-end book closing from a payables perspective

8. Assist in reporting year-end book closing from a payables perspective

9. Prepare any accounting reports as required in an accurate and timely manner; ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of cash outflow and management

10. Provide statistical analysis of financial data as needed from a variety of sources; as and when required.

11. Ensure approved accounting practices and policies to ensure that financial statements and reports accurately reflect the status of the relevant accounts

12. Follow most updated and relevant accounting practices/policies and timely adoption of changes in any International Financial Reporting Standards (‘IFRS’)

13. Develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position on an ongoing basis

14. Keep abreast with the latest updates that may be significant to the area of work
