Role:
Responsible for the Operations and overall Management of a 100,000mt grain storage (Bunker) site.
Must be a “HANDS ON” practical person ready and willing to learn new methods.
Have a good understanding and workings of a grain bunker storage site.
Responsibility for the storage / handling / quality control / testing / weighing and maintaining the quality of grain and other associated activities.
The operations of a grain bagging facility.
The understanding and handling of Grain, with specific regard to Wheat and Barley. Knowledge of corn is also desirable.
The co-ordination of the logistical movement of grain into and out of the site including all stock records.
The clearance of grain cargoes received at port and delivery to Bunker site. This will involve the coordination with Port authorities, Custom clearance agents, Grain discharge operators, and transport/ logistic providers and the like to bunker site.
The co-ordination of receiving trucks for bulk grain into and out of the site; also bagging and loading of trucks for delivery of grain to various customers and distribution centers.
The coordination with the various HASSAD FOOD customers for the delivery of grain to various locations within Qatar, e.g. CTC, Flour Miller etc. in either bagged or bulk in trucks.
Co-ordinate with various Suppliers / Receivers / Transport Companies to achieve most competitive pricing and highest standard of delivery service etc.
Having appropriate operational and maintenance experience.
The supervision and training of all on site personal- up to 20 workers.
Ensure the maintenance of all operating equipment and infrastructure.
Fumigation / pesticide knowledge. Must be able to implement correct pest control procedures and supervise their operation.
Maintenance of all stock records, delivery documents and weighbridge operations.
Ensure that the appropriate policies and Procedures are in place and implemented.
A strong focus on occupational health and safety and security issues.
Driver’s license- any other licenses to operate any equipment which is part of the operations of the site including special vehicle operating experience.
Ability to prepare necessary reports as required; e.g. Monthly operational report. Annual and monthly financial reports among others.
Other duties and tasks related to the overall development and enhancement of HASSAD FOOD’s grain handling and operational activities within Qatar as required.
Reporting to HASSAD FOOD Head Office - Executive Director Operations and Executive Manager BD Global Grains as required.
