• Support and follow new workflow and work processes as communicated by direct supervisor or Manager.
• Work with expediting and shipping departments as a backup and provides direct administrative support.
• Contacts customer to verify any questions with a purchase order.
• Enter jobs as completed and attach certs to paperwork.
• Carefully check entered orders for accuracy and quality.
• Serve as backup person to answer phones, take messages, and appropriately route phone calls.
• Receive shipments from customers, and assist with tagging orders.
• Field questions and inquiries from customers at the window.
• Handle customer service portion of all lost parts inquiries.
• Verify shipping credits are appropriately charged on a daily basis.
• Serve as a backup to the shipper in his absence.
• Provide high level of customer support, such as communicating when job is done.
• Other duties or a change in duties may be assigned by the employee’s supervisor,
• Expediting activities of purchase items at various vendors throughout the countries to meet the project milestone schedules.
• Desk expediting activities with vendors for submission of deliverables, obtain production schedules, continuous surveillance of each purchase order and to suggest appropriate actions where slippage occurs.
• Coordination with internal discipline, project team, external source expediting agencies, inspection and shipping to meet the delivery of the goods inline with purchase order delivery schedules.
• Source expediting to vendor location when required to review and identify issues related to progress and to suggest action plans for the recovery of the progress.
• Issue of weekly progress reports and attend project review meetings.
• Assist in arrangement of inspections, issue of inspection release notes and shipping release notes.
