Human Resources Administrator - 6 months Temporary - Synergy

Job Purpose

This position will work closely with the HR team and is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of administrative and general HR support, specifically, payroll, benefits, recruitment, employee relations programs and client service.

This position is also responsible for human resources information including record keeping, updating database, reporting, and information management systems.



Key Responsibilities



General HR Administration

• Provide clerical and administrative support to human resources.

• Compose and distribute written correspondence from human resources.

• Collect, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including resumes.

• Organize and maintain electronic and paper files.

• Maintain human resources calendar.

• Maintain administrative forms and manuals.

• Prepare and maintain standard reports.



Payroll and Benefits Administration

• Process payroll and maintain payroll information as required.

• Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports.

• Document workflow and work procedures.

• Process employee enrollments and terminations as required.

• Support and facilitate periodic and regular benefit plan evaluations and changes including plan analysis, contract review and employee communications.



Recruitment

• Day to day contact with recruitment agencies for role placement.

• Screen CV’s against job descriptions and package requirements.

• Pre-employment screening including references, identity and credit checks.

• Issuing of offer letters and employee contracts to potential employees.

• Facilitate starter paperwork and carrying out all necessary pre employment screening.

• Advertising jobs internally and externally using the appropriate media/agencies.

• Taking up references and providing references for existing and past employees.

• Dealing with the recruitment of temporary staff by liaising with the different recruitment agencies.



Other Duties

Other duties may be assigned.



Supervision

Works under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager.
