Cross-product line function, the Product Development Manager leads the product development projects, in close coordination with marketing, technical support, sales, and industrial teams. The main mission is to analyze the product portfolio, identify opportunities for developing new or improved products that command value-added pricing, and lead the product development process according to group policies and standards.
Regular visits to market and customers to monitor and understand usage behaviour and application types for products and construction methods linked with Lafarge products and services.
Understanding market trends in terms of evolution of construction methods, and anticipation of future market needs, in close cooperation with Segment Specialists, Projects Manager, and Technical Support Manager. Liaising with central technical and industrial teams.
Supporting the country market strategy, and ensure the optimization of the product mix, with the objective of increased country margins / premium pricing in the market.
Coordinating across all Lafarge product lines and functions in Iraq, to support the product development process.
