CH2M HILL Project Controls Lead- Doha, Qatar







Job Purpose:



Qatar will host a major sporting event and become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. CH2M HILL is the programme management consultant responsible for the associated construction programme that is part of a major country regeneration effort including the development of required infrastructure and non-competitive venues.



Unlike most projects, this one has a definite end date in June 2022 when the eyes of the world will be watching the start of the most popular spectacle in sport. You will plan for that day from your first day, working with the client, other contractors and senior CH2M HILL executives. You must possess excellent communication skills and tact, and you must feel comfortable working on large, complex projects. You will play a critical role in helping to transform an entire country and making history in the process.



Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:



Our Project Controls Lead– Major Sports Event Programme:











Manages the planning & scheduling elements of assigned projects as part of the overall programme





Integrates project budget and schedules to support EVM (Earn Value Management) and reporting.





Prepares, participates and measures impacts on critical paths and restraints, cost schedule analysis, project plans, forecasts, studies, claims analysis, negotiations, resource loading and performance/measurement progress.





Is a liaison to the project and field personnel for all scheduling revisions and updates





Develops and implements project control procedures in conjunction with supporting project ancillary functions, Action and Recovery Plan project plans and detailed manpower utilization plans.





Analyzes drawings, specifications and statements of work.





Provides project management consultation on factors affecting the timely completion of projects., critical interfaces and risks analysis.





Complies with safe work practices and ensure that safety is demonstrated as the highest priority.



Basic Qualifications



Key qualifications for this position include:




The successful candidate will have the following:













5-10 years of experience in planning and master scheduling with a project delivery organization working on simultaneous multi-construction efforts which include: Large Facilities, Stadiums, Subway Systems, Expressways, Rail





4 year bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience in developing construction schedules for large organizations.





Daily use of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 software





Preferred candidates will have experience working on projects located in the Middle East
