Understand the University strategy for recruitment, administer actions programs for targeting recruitment and help the University achieve its goals. Also plan, design and carry out initiatives / activities that help reach a large number of students and increase their interest in ADU which will lead to student enrolment. Develop recruitment plans that will attract the desired category of students with different cultural backgrounds. Proactively advise prospective students and newly admitted / registered students during the admission cycle.
Responsibilities:
•Create and develop resource materials for the student recruitment and its programs and draft recruitment strategies of ADU.
•Coordinate with colleges/faculty ensuring involvement in various recruitment activities and events
•Organize and participate in recruitment visits in UAE and overseas, including, but not limited to: fairs, open days, school/company and partners visits, education exhibitions, mall booths and road shows.
•Develop and maintain good relationships with institutions, partners and key individuals (governmental offices, schools, employers, strategic partners, careers advisors, recruitment representatives in UAE and abroad…)
•Coordinate, meet, brief, train and monitor student ambassadors
•Conduct school/company visit presentations and participate in other recruitment and admission activities
•Assist in conducting different attrition surveys
•Coordinating with agents for recruitment purpose outside the UAE
•Respond to applicants and new students’ queries via phone and email and over the counter
•Advise prospective applicants with courteous, professional, and prompt customer service on the admission criteria and process.
•Generate student ID number, screen application, admit students, and prepare admission or rejection letters.
•Screen applications with recommendations regarding admission criteria and send to colleges for evaluation.
•Evaluate, process and post credit transfer request in ERP.
•Meet potential students and conduct informative presentations
•Provide information to walk in students over the counter
•Provide information on matters pertaining to admission requirements, procedures, curriculum and general university information.
•Follow up on the student inquiries made and on whether any additional information is needed.
•Follow up to students with their missing documents if any.
•Extensive follow up for prospective student to be registered in Abu Dhabi University.
•Inform students of their admission status, placement exams and registration options via phone, email, SMS or in person.
•Consult with students on the sections timing that best suit their schedules, register the students, and email the schedule with information on payment deadlines, calendar, orientation date and program.
•Conduct one-on-one admission counseling sessions for prospective and newly admitted students.
•Ensure that students’ contact details and documents are accurately entered in Abu Dhabi University Enterprise Resource Planning system.
•Meeting individual target set from prospects to registrants
•Document all calls with regards to caller inquiries accurately using the tracking system in place.
•Forward registered applications and missing documents to the Records Section at the Registration Department for filing.
•Provide students with the access details on PeopleSoft, Blackboard and university email.
•Coordinate the development of student recruitment strategy with the Student Recruitment and Admission Specialist
•Provide the Marketing Department with input for the development of appropriate literature, displays materials and other university information including the website
