Responsibilities and Dimension of Position
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) owns the technical interface with customers, mainly telecom operators. In this position, the TAM is responsible for all SIM Card related technical topics between the customer and my client.
The TAM provides in-depth pre-sales support to complete the sales process including the analysis of client card requirements and potential solutions.
The TAM will proactively act to understand customer technical needs and identify potential card solutions in relation with the card product roadmap.
To be successful in the job, the TAM should realize and maintain contacts on different levels within the telecom operator, varying from (U)SIM Manager, Logistics Department and R&D to Marketing. Inside the organisation the TAM will be in contact with Sales, Operations, Personalization, Development and Marketing.
2. Main Objectives and Expected Achievements
The TAM will be based in Dubai and manage accounts of Middle East region and should be open to explore any new business opportunity.
The TAM must maintain or improve the existing business relations.
The TAM will be in charge of the follow up of each project from definition and specification writing until the delivery of cards, interfacing and coordinating with other departments and focusing on the customer needs.
Education
Education required is a Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Telecom.
An additional degree or affinity in Business or Commercial engineering would be preferred.
2-3 years of experience in smart card business in the telecom sector.
