Our Client is a multi-national engineering consultancy with offices throughout the world. The Qatar operation, which opened in 2011, understands the local and unique demands made by the climate and brings international knowledge to offer MEP and Structural Engineering services to both private and public organisations.
A Principal Mechanical Design Engineer is now required to lead the engineering design on the commercial management of projects across the region, whilst contributing to the management of relationships with clients.
The role will include but will not be limited to:
• Managing engineering design in accordance with client brief and project requirements
• Reviewing designs produced by junior members of staff
• Managing and coordinate the resource of projects
• Monitoring projects’ financial performance against budget and completion
• Training and coaching junior members of staff when required
• Managing “Work in Progress”, invoicing etc
• Preparing submission and fee bids for new projects
