Construction Manager - Marco Polo Gulf Trading

1. Lead and manage a team to deliver assigned projects in Afghanistan

2. To be the interface between client and the project team.

3. Report to the client the progress of the project

4. Assess and recommend sub-contractor appointment

5. Administer the construction and consultants contracts

6. Establish and manage overall project programme

7. Recommend approvals of progress payments, variations and programmes

8. Assess accept/ reject the value engineering initiatives

9. Manage time/cost/quality of project

10. Site establishment and site planning (including site security)

11. Provide and manage a construction programme and sequencing schedule

12. Provide critical path schedules and management plans

13. Monitor construction progress and investigate remedial programming

14. Provide resource schedules of equipment and personnel

15. Assess sub-contractors work plans and methodology

16. Assess and approve construction techniques

17. Coordinate the procurement and tendering of sub-contracts

18. Assess and plan procurement of critical items in construction process
