Contract Engineer Developee - Shell

Principal Accountabilities:

• Be able to quickly grasp the C&P principles, procedures and related processes and be ready to take on responsibilities.

• Within the first 6 months be able to prepare draft Service Contracts for review by Senior Staff and to be able process these for tender, control the process, assist in evaluation & award and set up in SAP. Also be able to manage and control ongoing contracts with a value under $1M including close outs.

• Within 1 year be able under supervision to progress Price Agreement and Minor Service Contracts to award. Also be able to manage all invoicing, SAP, ProCon and Tender Board procedures.

• Within 2 years be able to progress more complex tenders without daily supervision but under the control of a supervisor at certain steps in the process. Also be able to interact where necessary with SOC, prepare Cost Estimates, deal with variations and claims and Risk and Insurance processes.

• Dealing with time pressure from the business to deliver whilst maintaining due regard to the CP processes and controls required.

• Accuracy and attention to detail in dealings with approvers, internal customers and the market place.

• Commercial astuteness in dealings with the market seeking the best deal for the company.
