Mechanical Engineer - TAWEELAH ALUMINIUM EXTRUSION CO LLC - TALEX

JOB SUMMARY:



The Mechanical Engineer manages the company’s production equipment, processes and procedures; evaluates and manages production equipment, develops and continuously improves production processes, coaches and supports personnel on equipment maintenance and process compliance.



Key Performance Objectives



 Maintain and improve current process technologies to increase productivity, improve efficiency and reduce cost to improve profitability and provide quality products in a timely manner.



 Ensure stable and repeatable processes by utilizing engineering tools that proactively control processes to ensure consistent quality of product and services that meet or exceed customer requirements.



 Utilize engineering skills & knowledge to support and assist internal and external customers in achieving their objectives.



 Improve and build on our unique technology to facilitate our participation in markets that are outside our current capabilities and improve our overall profitability.



 Develop, organize, maintain and execute all engineering functions and supporting materials and documentation so that projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



 Monitors and continuously improves production systems and processes to meet company and customer standards.



 Conducts Maynard studies and evaluates equipment inefficiencies.



 Reviews and examines equipment materials; analyzes material life and wear, and conducts root cause analysis for material failures.



 Researches, conducts ROI analyses and makes the business case for new equipment; designs or purchases new and used manufacturing equipment; oversees the implementation of new machinery and generates processes for use.



 Assists with identifying and specifying raw material needs.



 Coordinates with Product Development to ensure the appropriate equipment is in place for the production of new and current products.



 Conducts root cause analysis of failures and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.



 Collaborates with various departments to investigate production/equipment failures and implement refined processes and procedures.



 Collaborates with sales on customer requests; determines manufacturing capabilities compared to customer specifications and timeline for requested job.



 Develops and implements quality control testing processes and procedures.



 Creates, oversees and provides support for international engineering programs.



 Determines technology standards; maintains current technologies, and researches and upgrades technology as needed to meet or exceed standards.



 Provides technical support for sales personnel and customers.



 Researches relevant advances and trends, and drives continuous improvements with regard to equipment, methods, processes and procedures.
