To maintain all of the water systems and piping within the hotel to ensure maximum efficiency and to reduce the chance of losses through equipment failure and leakages.
Essential Functions
• Maintain all piping and water equipment in the hotel and associated areas.
• Carry out orders and assignments given by the Assistant Chief Engineer and Engineering Supervisor.
• Attend to guest complaints as well as complaints from other departments.
• Participate in the preventative maintenance programme.
• Maintain logs of all of the water systems.
• Do a daily walk around the water systems to ensure good working condition and prevent losses and leaks.
• Make sure that all materials needed to perform the jobs are available prior to work commencing.
• Maintain engineering spaces in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
• Assist in energy conservation programme.
• Comply with Hotel and Corporate .’s.
• Take equipment readings as per your working schedule.
• Document all work performed and any spare parts used.
• Serve as a member of the Hotel Emergency Rescue Team.
• Carry out any requests asked of you by your immediate supervisor.
• To take an active role in the TQM process.
• To ensure that each and every job is done to a high standard and that all your work is done with Quality in mind.
• To ensure that you maintain a high level of hospitality and guest concern. Practice at all times ‘Empowerment’ and do whatever it takes to satisfy the guest.
• Your uniform should be clean at all times if you have to go to guest areas. Your uniform should be changed on a daily basis.
• Hygiene is of utmost importance, please make sure that you wash before coming to work and you practice good hygiene throughout your daily routine.
