Asst Chief Steward - Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf

• The steward's major responsibility is to establish and maintain a high standard of cleanliness sanitation through teamwork involving all food service outlets in the hotel.

• He/she has responsibility to comply with company policies which include: financial, performance, effective food and labor cost control, guest satisfaction, personal, development, procurement, community relations, equipment standards, and a high level of the sanitation and safety standards (maintained by weekly inspections).

• He/she must coordinate the efficient distribution of all supplies and equipment to all food and beverage outlets.

• He/she will schedule and coordinate all training, monthly meetings and development efforts of all stewarding associates.

• He/she is accountable for maintaining accurate levels of controllables and the sanitation and cleanliness of those items.

• He/she is responsible for interviewing, hiring and evaluating all stewarding associates.

• The steward will provide consistency and quality of sanitation and cleanliness through execution of the basic fundamentals, ., spot and heavy cleaning, rotation and proper storage of controllables, and through the motivation and development of the associates.

• He/she must comply with local, state and federal health and sanitation codes and is responsible for meeting those standards.

• Assume responsibilities of superior on his/her scheduled days off.

• Manage daily stewarding operations.

• Manage and facilitate training and development of associates.

• Achieve positive financial results.

• Coordinate efficient distribution of all supplies and equipment to all food and beverage outlets.
