Job summary:
The Data Manager oversees all aspects of database work in the Exhibitions department. This position will be primarily responsible to act as a daily liaison between various exhibitions show teams and the marketing department as well as with corporate IT. He (she) will manage internal customer master database requests for data entry, data counts, reports, profiles, and train staff on use of system. He (she) will also work with the Database Administrator to coordinate database updates and data overlays. This role will be the in-house data expert charged with maintaining data integrity.
This person will lead our efforts to capture, organize, use and analyze constituent data to achieve departmental and organizational objectives within the guidelines of the Information Technology Security, Privacy and Confidentiality policies and procedures.
Major responsibilities and accountabilities:
1) Maintenance of exhibitor and prospects data
a) Understand the Exhibitions CRM system and related data model
b) Monitor the quality of data entered/modified by the data users.
c) Responsible for extraction of data entered/modified by data users for performing Data Audit.
d) Data Manager will perform de-duplication, validation, enrichment on the data extracted by using the processes defined for maintaining each data field.
e) Data Manager will be responsible for correcting the erroneous data in the CRM after validation with Show Teams.
f) Establish policies and guidelines in the administration and management of data in consultation with the Senior Vice President - Events.
2) Coordinating with the exhibitions team to
a) Align the data maintenance plan as per the overall exhibition plan
b) Will coordinate with Individual Project teams for correction of erroneous data entered/modified by the team.
c) Facilitate and resolve shared customer master data management issues.
d) Provide feedback to the exhibition team on the quality of data entered/modified on periodic day-to-day basis to minimize errors in data capture/modification.
e) Ensure exhibition specific inputs are being captured by the exhibition teams
3) Data availability and integration
a) Extract custom queries from the customer master database
b) Upload batch data into the EBMS system (New data acquisition from external agents) after de-duplication and validation of the acquired data.
c) Generate periodic and ad-hoc MIS Reports on master database for exhibition show teams and other units within the exhibition department.
