As Head of Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Membership, you will:
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
• Act as the primary person to manage and develop trusted relationships between the World Economic Forum and key business leaders in the MENA region
• Develop long-term, trusted partnerships with the foremost businesses and emerging players, with a focus on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area; ideally candidate has an established network of senior contacts in the region that can be leveraged
Thought leadership
• Monitor and identify leading-edge, emerging companies and entrepreneurs and engage them at the membership and partnership level
• Have the ability to understand the strategic interests of board level executives in the region and leverage Forum communities, cutting-edge knowledge and activities to develop year-long engagement programmes
• Consult with subject experts to identify cutting-edge business issues and translate these and other priorities into a sustainable value proposition for partnership and community building
Programme/project management
• Deliver a programme of activity throughout the year for Forum Members and Partners
• Champion MENA business interests within the Forum’s broader range of activities
• Become the main reference expert on the MENA business agenda within the Forum
Government relations
• Contribute to government relations where relevant
