To lead the Procurement and Stores teams in procuring and supplying all materials and services required for the Company.
Primary Functions
Manage the activities of all personnel assigned to the Procurement group, including recruitment, performance, and renumeration management, training and development, and work allocation and utilisation.
Exercise authority at the level determined by management for the position.
Establish department budget and control expenditure accordingly. Prepare and submit justification for budget variances.
Ensure the department's compliance with the Company's established policy and procedures, including HSE, Quality and Human Resources, and it's ISO 9001 accreditation.
Ensure all department activities are performed in the most efficient and cost effective manner, in accordance with Qatari legislation and client requirements, and continually seek improvements in the system as a result of audits, new work practices and new standards.
Be focused on the needs of the client and strive to exceed their expectations.
Manage the procurement of all Company materials and supplies in accordance with established procedures, and are received within the time, specification and budget schedules.
Ensure all procurement activities are accurately recorded in Procurement database.
Manage the preparation of contract requirements, review and evaluate bids, and participate in the award process.
Coordinate with the Planning and Controls group to ensure procurement lead times are actioned.
Ensure the timely lodgement of insurance and warranty claims for unsatisfactory materials and equipment.
