Supervises : Asst. Project Manager, Project Coordinators, Architect
Key Accountabilities
• Timely completion of new stores
• Reduction in cost/ expenses for developing new stores
• Adhere to designs provided by principals/ suppliers for store construction
• Adherence of local laws for constructing the new stores
• Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers/ external agencies
• Record and maintenance of updated agreements/ documentation required for new stores
Supervisory Activities
• Ensure drawings/ documents are prepared in a timely manner
• Ensure drawings are as per specifications and standards
Execution Activities
• Develop new stores as per norms within specified time period
• Adhere to designs provided by principals/ suppliers for store construction
• Ensure cost for construction of store is within the defined budget
• Apply best practices in project management to minimise time and cost of each projects
• Establish professional relationship with project consultants and architects
• Survey the target area for opening a new outlet and identify suitable location\
• Finalise the location with Senior Management and initiate action to acquire/lease the location
• Liaise with Principals and design the Stores layout
• Liaise with Architects and Consultants and prepare the site for occupation
• Establish tender policies for new store openings and negotiate with contractor to achieve the lowest cost possible
• Communicate with Principal to obtain fixture drawings and other information required to set up new stores
• To make sure that the store is ready as per schedule and within original cost estimates
• To make sure building maintenance agreements are in place.
• Ensure all documents & approvals from external entities related to store are received & forward the same to general manager
• Build and maintain relationships with external entities like architects, mall management authorities, materials suppliers, etc
• Prepare and forward MIS on a pre-defined basis as required
Coordination Activities
• Liaison with mall management personnel for assistance related to store construction
• Coordinate with general manager for queries/ approvals related to cost/ expense for construction of store
• Coordinate with general manager, merchandise manager and asst. merchandise manager to obtain detailed inputs like drawings from principal, etc required to set up new store
• Coordinate with finance team for negotiation of rates related to supplies, rent, etc
• Coordinate with external entities to ensure all supplies/ assistance related to stores is available within required time
