Recruitment and Learning Consultant - Human Capital Department - Zayed University - Abu Dhabi - Zayed University

The Opportunity



Works as a Human Resources Business Partner with Academic and Administrative leaders to meet their strategic human resource needs and deliver a high level of professional Recruitment and Learning services to the ZU community.



Ensures the delivery of effective human resource policies, practices and programs of a multidisciplinary range including recruitment and selection; training & development; coaching, mentoring and employee relations



The Responsibilities



a) Recruitment & Selection

• Works as a senior project coordinator and program developer on large scale recruitment initiatives and activities to ensure timely design and delivery of high volume, expedient recruitment activities for high profile outcomes.

• Works effectively with client portfolio to ensure the timely recruitment and selection of high-quality faculty and staff, with special emphasis on sourcing and recruitment of high caliber UAE Nationals.

• Actively supports the National Development & Retention Program; seeks to enhance access to opportunities for UAE Nationals at ZU.

• Works closely with the client management team to proactively identify staffing needs and recruitment priorities.

• Advises and consults to determine effective recruitment advertising strategies. Develops ads and ad copy for internal postings, websites, newspaper and other sources. Coordinates advertising with the R&L team.

• Facilitates the marketing of the university to appropriate target areas and groups as an employer of choice.

• Works closely with the new Oracle I recruit application system ensuring effective processes and use by client groups and others.

• Ensures that effective selection and interviewing practices are used; influencing and educating client groups as needed.

• Prepares appropriate documentation for submission to the Provost/CAFO/VP and sometimes the President for each successful candidate that is brought forward for approval.



b) New Hire Contract Administration

• Oversees and coordinates the new hire contract administration, first point of contact for clients with special contract needs.

• Provides expertise and guidance in the design and implementation of special contract as a result of policy change and new project requirements.

• Oversees the work activities of R&L Officers for timely preparation and checking of employment offers/contracts, and the associated decisions in accordance with University Policies.



c) Recruitment Program Design Lead and Business Advisor

• Leads the creation, design, development and implementation of complex strategic Recruitment initiatives.

• Customizes solutions and tools and implements these new and ongoing Recruitment initiatives ensuring their timely and effective delivery.

• Consults with senior management to develop new programs and initiatives to support high volume recruitment activities while providing subject matter expertise as well as influencing best practices.

• Seek to enhance employee/manager relations, employee retention and productivity, working with managers and their employees to develop professional development plans, expectations and road maps for success. May facilitate conflict resolution.

• Counsels and guides employees as needed, referring to appropriate resources when appropriate.



d) Training and Development

• Assesses designs and delivers training and development programs identifying opportunities for partnering with key stakeholders to support the University’s strategic objectives.

• Consults with external providers to source appropriate and cost effective programs.

• Evaluates the efficacy of T&D initiatives through focus groups, surveys or other methods.



e) Coaching and Mentoring

• Coaches and mentors junior HR staff contributing to their professional development and growth in the field of HR.
