Student Support Manager - Manpower Middle East

Our client one of the top ranked Business Schools globally are currently seeking to recruit a Student Support Manager. You will be directly reporting to the Middle East Director



Overall Purpose of the Job:

To manage and lead a team of student support administrators and assistants and oversee the administration of the blended learning administration for the Middle East (ME) Centre.



To carry out projects to develop and improve services for the ME Centre in liaison with the Senior Programme Administrator in the UK, the Academic Director and the ME Centre Director, and to contribute to the overall success of the Middle East centre as an active member of the business team.



Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities or Duties

• Manage all aspects of the student cycle from enrolment to graduation.

• Manage new and current student registration procedures

• Oversee the ‘Student Adviser’ process for the ME centre

• To provide guidance to students in relation to assessments, examinations, workshops and regulations. To also offer support and advice to those experiencing difficulties regarding their progression though the programme, either for academic or personal reasons

• To manage the ‘student reps’ relationship

• To ensure there is a clear process for dealing with complaints, student appeals and mitigating circumstances. Timely responses and an escalation process to ensure student issues and queries are dealt with in a professional and efficient manner.

• To liaise with the Senior Programme Administrator in the UK regarding, rules and regulations, updates and any specific programme administration issues

• To act as the main point of contact for staff to clarify and interpret University policies and regulations and also to disseminate important information/updates as and when required

• To ensure students have all information pertaining to online resources (Blackboard, Student Portal, Library), Semester Timetable, Student Handbook and Course Outlines

• Compile and assess statistical information relating to student registrations, withdrawals, progression, attainment and retention.

• Oversee all aspects of induction, workshops and examinations

• Responsible for workshop scheduling for the ME centre

• Responsible for the ordering and delivery of study materials for the ME centre. To work closely with Singapore centre informing them of any updates and changes. To keep up to date information for module updates and revisions.

• To develop effective processes for students to improve student retention and enhance the student experience.

• To ensure quality assurance of the student support cycle

• Oversee the maintenance of student records ensuring that all relevant data is kept up to date on Campus Solutions and SRS

• Responsible for recruiting local tutors and managing tutorial sessions - online and classroom.

• To act as Secretary at the Programme Committee in the ME

• Liaise with the accounts department for updating current status of students and assist in debtors chase

• To ensure satisfactory completion and update of necessary documentation and records pertaining to programme accreditation and licensing with the local authorities (eg. KHDA, TECOM, MoHE) to comply with the regulations requirements.

Management Duties:

• To be responsible for the management of the student support team

• To be responsible for the induction and training of new staff

• To manage holidays, working hours and sickness monitoring

• Conduct Annual PDR’s

• To provide management information, including recommendations for actions

• Compiling agendas, arranging and attending meetings, drafting minutes and reports

• Actively contribute to the development of programme administration and attend meetings and working parties as appropriate

• To represent Company’s ME Centre as part of the management team as and when required.
