Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing strategic guidance and management leadership in relation to all aspects of the physical development of the department. The post holder will lead the development and implementation a range of policies and procedures to deliver the operational and functional needs in relation to the department’s Strategic Plan.
KEY RESULT AREAS
1. Be operationally responsible to manage all aspects of the physical development of the department.
2. Produce regular reports on physical development of the department.
3. Work with relevant QF departments and Senior Representatives to prepare scope of services/works and manage capital works related activities at the department.
4. Provide input to budget preparation and operation.
5. Represent the department on relevant international bodies and forums, to ensure that the department is adopting international best practice in all elements of development.
6. Ensure the physical developments at the department fulfil the needs of existing and future clients.
7. Work closely with the other the department Managers and Directors to ensure the physical development of the department is in line with the operational and functional activities of the park.
8. Support all clients to establish their physical presence at the department, at all stages of the process.
9. Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to physical development at the department, including for designers, contractors and tenants.
10. Be operationally responsible for the development and continued update of the department’s Master Plan, in line with strategic physical development objectives.
11. Work with Consultants, Designers and Contractors to ensure all of the physical development at the department is in line with the overall Master Plan and development objectives.
12. Manage the department Landlord Designer contract.
13. Work closely with QF Capital Projects and Facilities Management Departments to ensure physical development projects are carried out within scope, budget and time scales.
14. Liaise with the QF appointed Joint Venture to ensure external developments or QF-wide proposals are in line with the departments, . infrastructure, roads.
15. Attend relevant QF boards/committees and submit written and verbal reports when required.
16. Deputise for the Operations & Development Director when required.
