SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the operational and fiscal activities, plan and develop systems and procedures, supervise staff and ensure operations in store are properly functioning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan and develop systems and procedures in order to meet department productivity and quality goals
2. Ensure high levels of professionalism in approaching clients in order to maintain current clients and potential client relationships
3. Coordinate department activities and special projects in order to ensure quality and meet timetables
4. Ensure proper greeting and rapidity of service in store
5. Ensure proper display of products and relieving store appearance.
6. Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the store to include budgets and financial goals
7. Analyze and document business processes and problems; Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies
8. Direct staff in the development, analysis and preparation of reports.
9. Responsible for staff scheduling in coordination with the human resources department to include: work assignments, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
10. Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
11. Schedule and conduct department meetings.
12. Work with department managers to develop business plans
13. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
14. Take part in yearly inventories of their departments (preparations, process and variance report study).
15. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate staff
16. Ensure fair application of policies and procedures.
17. Process the "ouverture" before store opening and "clĂ´ture" after store closure.
18. Count the daily sales of the store and handle them to the treasurer.
19. Prepare the petty cash to start the register with.
20. Control the presence of the cashiers on the register.
21. Operate necessary transactions such as: limit control, provide cashiers with exchange and coins, make up for absences)
22. Supervise the register closing as defined in the cash protocol policy (count the cash & compare it to prelevement report, check if all invoices are attached, etc…)
23. Oversee the profitability and functioning of the store
24. Assist in covering in other stores when needed
25. Lead the store in sales by establishing, monitoring and exceeding personal and team goals
26. Monitor traffic patterns and schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage for maximum traffic periods.
27. Other duties as assigned
