The Museum is looking for an Event and Tour Coordinator this role will be educating visitors and guests on Islamic history of science and technology and the relationship this has to King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. Provide individual and group tours, coordinate and facilitate logistics reservations for schools and other groups and prepare promotional materials as directed by the Head of Operations.



Key responsibilities include:

• Greet visitors and introduce them to KAUST Museum and any rules associated with visitors.

• Provide visitors with guided tours of the Museum sharing history of Islamic Science and Technology through the exhibits and interactive displays.

• Demonstrate to visitors how to use interactive displays in the museum.

• Contact museum technician for any technical problems.

• Contribute to the development and release of promotional materials to the general and selected public.

• Help with special events.

• Involve in promoting the museum service and being enthusiastic about it.

• Remain current in understanding and knowledge of the link between KAUST Museum and the University with Visitors

• Coordinates reservations for group visitors from schools and community and with other KAUST departments.



To be successful within this role you must have:

• Bilingual in Arabic and English. Multilingual preferred.

• Microsoft office

• Up to 3 years of related experience or similar role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Public Relations, Science or Technology is preferred or other area as related.

Museum:

The Museum celebrates the contributions of Muslim scholars to science and technology during the first Golden Age of Islam from the 650 to 1650.
