Middle East Jobs: IT Systems Engineer

• Monitoring the system error logs of hardware /software

• Purging the old data and release the disk space for efficient use.

• Maintain and manage all active IT components like routers, switches and firewall.

• Make sure that all VPN, internet and LAN connectivity between other vendor sites as well as branches are working fine.

• Take a weekly backup of all server states to ensure business continuity and less downtime.

• Maintaining active connection between multiple floors.

• Management of switches and firewalls.

• Management of CCTV cameras.

• Management of communication equipment like telephones.

• Ensure smooth inter-operation between Hardware and software depending on networks for client server architecture.

• Network monitoring and scanning is done to find systems that are ageing and obsolete.

• Installation of operating systems (Server and/or clients).

• Coordinating and sourcing with multiple vendors to get good pricing on a particular Hardware model to ensure standardization.

• Implementing the necessary upgrade or update on an ON DEMAND basis, except in the case of windows updates or anti-virus updates.

• Configuration of Client machines to access servers for core banking applications.

• Ensure proper bandwidth connectivity between clients and servers depending on configuration.

• Create userid’s for new employees.

• Provide email address for new employees.

• Configure client application for new machines.

• Provide proper access permissions to users based on the department and their level of authorization.

• Maintain records of all hardware items as well as software items purchased.

• Tag all active IT components including switches, firewalls and routers.

• All new IT hardware components will have to be tagged with asset numbers corresponding to Reem Finance.

• In case there is a shift of employee or decommissioning, necessary steps need to be taken to ensure that the assets are properly disposed or archived.

• Prepare and submit documented history of all assets maintained to Finance when required by auditors.

• In the case of printers, maintain a stock taking for the usage per printer and thereby recommending the amount of toners that need to be kept in stock.
