Efficient management of the Treasury & Retail Operations (Back Office) including the processing and the settlement in strict compliance with the CBK regulations and Bank laid down policies and procedures.
Job Description
-Take primary responsibility of checking the daily transactions including Remittances, cheques clearing, salaries payments, Standing orders, FX and MM deals and Securities transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with CBK regulations as well as bank's policies and procedures.
-Ensures accuracy of input and efficiency in settlement of deals performed by Treasury (FX/MM and CP deals.) Produce payments and Confirmations & Advises in a timely and accurate manner.
-Perform deal confirmation matching and promptly investigate any exception.
-Cover the nostros accounts to avoid paying overdraft interest.
-Implement all control measures to minimize risk and avoid losses.
-Ensure smooth coordination and reconciliation with Treasury (front office).
-Ensure adherence to external/internal regulatory requirements and fulfill all CBK as well as Head office reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
-Review and study existing and new systems and provide suggestions that are aimed at further strengthening controls and at enhancing operational efficiency.
-Participate in the implementation of Retail projects launched by KBA.
-Assist the operations manager in organizing and administrating Treasury Back Office and Retail Processing Functions and objectives of the team.
-Reviews reports, obtain approvals on bank lines / position excesses.
-Assist the operations manager in ensuring all terms and conditions are in place as well as that correspondent banks are providing quality service to the bank.
-Trains and coaches team members especially those who are at junior levels.
-Assist the Manager in motivating every team member to promote and maximize productivity.
- Contribute to developing team-spirit among peers, supervisors, and subordinates.
