Head of Career Development - ENEC

To develop and lead the implementation of learning and development plans for ENEC including design, development, delivery, and evaluation of career development plans to ensure employees are provided with career development opportunities that meet ENEC commitment to talent development.



Career Planning

•Develop roadmaps for each critical function that identifies complete career path from current position to desired position to provide clarity on individuals career ladder

•Manage the design, development and implementation of individual development plans and career plans for all employees including UAE National with no experience

•Manage the implementation of leadership development program on employees who are suitable for the managerial career track and who have been identified as successors in order to improve leadership within ENEC

•Liaise with direct supervisor concerned in designing individual development plans for all employees from Manager level and above

•Oversee the implementation of on-the-job and off-the-job development training programs for all employees, for UAE national employees under development and obtain remedial step for discussion and improvement

•Act as first approver of employee’s training request and responsible for taking decisions on the training request that is not in line with the individual development plan

•Coach, support, mentor and challenge managers in the application of development plans and leadership programs and provide advice and guidance on such programs when required

•Develop key performance indicators and tracking methods to ensure managers are reliably developing UAE nationals employees with or without experience

•Visit managers to discuss matters related to development programs of UAE national employees with no experience and interview UAE national employees under development to clear difficulties as appropriate

•Liaise with HR Corporate Project team in developing procedures related to career development & planning, resolving condition reports related to career planning and follow up on corrective actions from audits



Performance Appraisal System

•Lead the development, improvement and implementation of Performance Appraisal System in a way that promotes and sustains a culture of performance

•Resolve any issues related to performance and liaise with employee relations in handling grievances and disciplinary when required

•Liaise with direct supervisors in managing poor performance cases and provide remedial actions in conformity with internal policies and procedures

•Conduct awareness sessions on performance appraisal system to enhance understanding of the system and its appropriate usage

•Present performance appraisal rating results to top management when required.

•Present results of performance appraisal satisfaction surveys to top management and provide management with recommendations on areas for improvement.



Management of ENEC Assessment Centers

•Support the implementation of assessment tools for the selection of new candidates, scholarships students and for developing employees



Management of Part Time Study Program

•Manage part time study program and approve request for part time study

•Solve issues related to part time study request that is not in line ENEC’s needs nor to employees development requirement or development plan

•Liaise with Training department on handling cases of employees with bad academic performance at school and provide recommendations that determine the continuation of sponsorship



Budget

•Prepare/recommend the development of the section/department budget respectively, and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment
