Head of Operations

Our Client is a BOI approved company established with offices in Colombo, Sri Lanka Australia, New Zealand, UK and Canada, specializing in delivering High Quality, High-End software services for the global market.



Overview

The head of operations will be responsible for all day to day operations and driving the delivery team, building strategic business relationships, and providing vision for all sales strategies and their execution.





Key Responsibilities



Development

• Ensure quality execution in the delivery of a product/service/solution to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and the Customer Partner Experience

• Develop execution strategies and tactics to support strategic plans at the regional level.

• Collaborate with the executive team to develop short- and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans.

• Conduct analysis to manage sales/delivery performance against corporate objectives and market developments.

• Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals.



Management

• Promotes a culture that reflects the organization’s values, encourages good performance, and rewards productivity

• Hires, manages, and fires the human resources of the organization according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations

• Oversees the operations of organization and manages its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

• Creates and maintains procedures for implementing plans approved by the board of directors

• Ensures that staff and board have sufficient and up-to-date information.

• Evaluates the organization’s and the staff’s performance on a regular basis



Financial management

• Oversees staff in developing annual budgets that support operating plans and submits budgets for approval

• Prudently manages the organization's resources within budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations



HR management

• Performance management and improvement systems;



Community Relationships

• Assures that the organization and its mission, programs, and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.

• Actively advocates for the organization, its beliefs, and its programmatic efforts.

• Acts as a liaison between the organization and the community, building relationships with peer organizations when appropriate.





Required Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of work experience in the technology industry, in project management, technical leadership and/or technical contributor roles.

• Prior experience in managing large teams of software engineers, testing engineers and other technical categories.

• Ability to lead cross functional teams and coordinate communication and activities across multiple groups.

• Major account or business relationship management experience gained in both multinational and multicultural environments would be an added benefit.

• Experience in effectively presenting technical or complex information to Senior Management.

• Experience of developing and managing service level agreements with set, measurable and reportable KPI’s.

• Recognized achievement in delivering to a strategic agenda.
