Human Resources Administrator – Talent Resourcing - ICARDA

Main purpose of the position

The Human Resources Administrator - Talent Resourcing will work closely with the Director HR and Center Researchers in delivering corporate HR services in strategic staffing, Talent selection and acquisition, and on-boarding functions.



About ICARDA

The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) is an international autonomous, non-profit, research organization temporarily based in Beirut, Lebanon supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). ICARDA is committed to the improvement of livelihoods of the resource-poor in dry areas by enhancing food security and alleviating poverty through agricultural research, and the equitable use of natural resources.



Main responsibilities:

The HR Administrator - Talent Resourcing is required to contribute independently to the corporate Human Resources Resourcing function. Specific responsibilities/deliverables include the following:

•Develop a comprehensive annual staffing plan and manage the recruitment process; this includes visibility of vacancies on the web, social media, e-group discussions, print, etc.;

•Take leadership in the recruitment process including review of advertisement requests, shortlisting, coordinating with the candidates, participating in selection panels and preparation of offers;

•Assist the Director HR in developing a selection and use of Consultants guidelines;

•Built and maintain a consultancy database indicating the consultants discipline, skill sets and experience for ready reference by requestors;

•Oversee the employment/consultants contracting and renewal process across all locations ensuring compliance to established policies and procedures;

•In coordination with the Regional Administrators, develop and manage on-boarding and induction process. This includes webinars with new hires and developing onsite induction programs;

•In coordination with the Compensation & Benefits Specialist, periodically review compensation and benefits plan through external benchmarking so that total compensation is competitive to retain and attract competent talent;

•Ensure that new hire introductions is update on the intranet;

•Support process automation and continuous improvement efforts;

•Develop periodic management reports and analysis.
