As a Shipping Manager you will develop an in-house Customs clearance capability for the UAE market to generate significant cost savings and to optimise expenditure with existing clearance resources by applying Group Freight Category Management processes.
You will also :
- Assume total responsibility for the management of the Customs clearance department activities between clearing agents, forwarders, suppliers and brand teams. Provide effective and efficient support to RDC and LDC on all customs clearance related operations to support corporate objectives. - Manage the flow of work within the Department according to SLAs in an efficient and cost effective manner. Available on call 24/7 by Shipping Teams to ensure 100% service and support to RDC operations. - Allocate workload to its team members by ensuring that individual's productivity is maintained and that the assigned tasks are adhered to and well delivered.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Graduate qualification in logistics desirable- 3 years' experience in a similar position- Knowledge of Customs/Municipal regulations and clearing formalities
