Summer Institute Site Manager - Teach For Qatar

POSITION SUMMARY

Teach For Qatar seeks a Summer Institute Site Manager to plan and manage the logistics for our Summer Institute teacher-training program. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pioneering NGO, as we embark upon providing top quality training and support to our Fellows, who will go on to become transformational leaders and teachers in the classrooms of Qatar.



The Summer Institute Site Manager would be responsible for planning and managing the successful logistics delivery of the Summer Institute. The Summer Institute is the first step in the journey to making TFQ Fellows into transformational leaders and teachers. It is an 8-week, non-residential, intensive, teacher-training program, that will be delivered from June to August, 2014, breaking for Eid al-Fitr. The Site Manager would report to the Head of Training & Support who will be overseeing the delivery of the Summer Institute. They will work closely with the Head of Training & Support and the Instructional Mentors who will be training the Fellows. They will be responsible for line managing a deputy Site Manager. The Site Manager role would begin on 25th May, creating four weeks of planning and preparation time, before the delivery of the Summer Institute. The role would terminate on 4th Septmeber, enabling two weeks of review, evaluation and forward-planning following the end of the Summer Institute.



This position provides a unique opportunity for an individual with strong organizational skills to contribute to achieving our vision of Qatar becoming a nation of excellence where all students are driven to achieve. The ideal candidate has at least three years experience within education events or facilities management and logistics, and will be able to demonstrate strong Leadership, problem-solving and inter-personal skills.
