Senior Maintenance Engineer – Electrical - ORYX Gas To Liquids Ltd

Job Purpose:

To ensure agreed Production volumes are met, in a safe and sustainable manner with no incidents or harm to the environment, people or the asset, through developed and motivated staff.

Execution of Electrical maintenance support activities, and assigned projects, on time and within budget with overall operation cost control. Manage the running of RCA and FMEA work groups. Assist and support the predictive maintenance initiative. Preparation of specification for new electrical equipment, execution of maintenance electrical MOCs.



Safety, Health, Quality, Environment:

• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls, within defined area, to guarantee employee safety, HR compliance, and delivery of high quality products/ services in a responsible environmental manner.

• Performs Emergency Response Role as required by company.

• Participates in company safety programs.

Electrical Maintenance Service Level Agreement Mitigation

• Coordinate the implementation of service levels agreements with various departments so as to ensure an effective communication and compliance with their respective needs.

Maintenance Strategy

• As a senior member of the Electrical Section, contribute to the formulation and implementation of the Maintenance strategy and plans, to maximize the plant equipment availability and minimize equipment breakdown.

• Should be able to work on ETAP.

Section Management

• Support the Electrical Supervisor in their day-to-day activities by providing Engineering solutions to problems and to ensure that work processes are implemented as per standards and procedures.

Shutdown and Turnarounds

• Assist in managing the planning, organization and implementation of ORYX GTL’s shutdowns, turnarounds and emergencies as required.

• To take the role as a “Project/ Zone Leader” during major/ emergency shutdown as required.

Plant Maintenance

• Manage and control the troubleshooting of problems as required, in order to avoid major escalations at any given instance.

• Assist in managing the Electrical maintenance works on ORYX GTL’s assets as required ensuring minimum disruptions with regard to equipment breakdowns.

• Assist and support the predicative maintenance initiative, supporting the condition monitoring section in analysis of data and improvement of MTBF.

Meet the set KPI Targets

• Assist in managing the assigned KPI of Electrical Section to ensure that the Maintenance department KPI objectives are met.
