Sr. Business Analyst - Arasco

Description:



The Senior Business Analyst is part of Operational Excellence Program team and responsible for evaluating, designing, documenting, and implementing business processes to achieve stated business goals. The Senior Business Process Analyst supports the assessment of current processes and evaluates improvements intended to increase workflow and efficiency. Additionally, he helps develop standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience at a management consulting firm or internal consulting, process re-engineering or change management role.



Responsibilities:



• Designs and documents process workflows and related documentation to support process development, any system enhancements, and implementation of recommendations.

• Works closely with business owners and stakeholders to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service and/or program business processes.

• Provides recommendations for process and/ system improvements and report any system problems that may prevent daily functions to the appropriate resource.

• Develops standard operating procedures and supporting tools and templates to reflect/support the defined business process.

• Develops and manages project plans to guide work efforts and ensure timely completion of projects.

• Identifies applicable best practices to support the evaluated business processes

• Leads efforts to gather requirements and evaluate solution options to support processes (e.g., project management software tools)

• Works with other team members and project stakeholders to generate requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.

• Collaborates with business sponsors, business users, and others, as necessary, to ensure processes are rolled out, adopted and adhered to by the target audience

• Design and create business process classification frameworks with various levels of detail and levels of decomposition—for both cross industry/sector and sector-specific frameworks

• Design and create end-to-end sector and cross-sector process models using EPC and BPM modeling standards

• Apply common enterprise architecture (EA) practices on relevant projects

• Create EA reference models, preferably business, information systems and technology architectures

• Estimate project scope and level of effort for new projects and/or existing projects that require changes—tasks, duration, resourcing, etc.

• Maintain a pulse on leading practices/trends around business process management, EA, modeling standards, etc.
