Analysis and monitoring of current road systems. Liaison with Local Municipal Authorities. Strategize ways in which road systems can be improved. Designing new road layouts and traffic flow systems using Design Highways software packages including CAD / AutoCAD.
Ensuring bridges, lighting and roads meet the approved regulations and standards Documenting and reporting. Strategizing highway / traffic improvements so that they satisfy Local Authorities expectations; cost effective, fit for purpose and environmentally sustainable. Reporting to senior engineers and/or local authorities.
Providing design and drafting services for roads design team for the preliminary and detail design phases of a project; Preparing drawings in accordance with our client and the Local and Internationally recognized standard formats. Preparation of design drawings using AutoCAD or similar type software; Review of design and drafting works completed by CAD Operators for compliance with original design intent. Interpreting survey results into technical drawings. Promoting and improving professional standards for road engineering design. Undertaking design duties as assigned by the Design Office Manager, QA/QC Engineer and Project Manager.
