System Design Engineer – IP Networks - Executive Solutions

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES & FUNCTIONS:



1. Responsible to the SDA for the delivery of cost-effective, low-risk, through

-life design solutions compliant with customers’ requirements, capable

of onward implementation and support by the Company in accordance

with established contractual obligations and Company procedures.

2. To be the Company’s technical subject matter expert in this field.

3. To update and maintain technical product, practice and Standards

knowledge in accordance with market developments as appropriate.

4. To manage Design Engineers as appropriate in support of project

objectives.

5. To work closely with other business functions as appropriate according

status of the project (New Business, Project or Managed Services).



SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



1) To produce cost-effective, low-risk, through-life design solutions

compliant with customers’ requirements, capable of onward

implementation and support by the Company in accordance with

established contractual obligations and Company procedures (Design

review; Configuration Control; SOPs; As built drawings etc)

2) To produce and review method statements, designs, risk assessments

as appropriate.

3) Provide ILS input/data as appropriate.

4) Ensure all design documentation is professional and complete for Test

Acceptance and Technical Transfer.

5) Provide engineering support for existing designs.

6) Define and review subcontractor proposals for design, installation,

testing commissioning and acceptance testing.

7) Supervise sub-contractor works as appropriate.

8) Maintain position as subject matter expert for the Company.
