Training Officer - Workshop - Almarai Company

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To ensure the shop floor staff is provided with appropriate training and equip them with the required knowledge and skills to carry out the operations smoothly.



AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (AOR)

1) Ensure that the training, whether technical, H&S or Quality related, is provided to the concerned employees as per the training plan.

2) Ensure the knowledge and skills of staff is measured against a set criteria to meet the demands of the profession.

3) Ensure on the job training is provided to perform regular maintenance and component overhaul so that the trainees are fully competent and qualified within the field of Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.

4) Ensure the training material and resources supplied by external trades training provider are developed and utilised during training sessions appropriately.

5) Ensure trade test is conducted for required staff in order to assess their competency through objective and measured written and practical assessments.



This is a hands on role performing normal maintenance and repair on heavy vehicles but also coaching lesser experienced staff to become fully competent. From time to time there may be requirement to delivering classroom training courses developed in house by Almarai Technical Training function. This role is vitally important to the Almarai fleet Operation and determines the level of competency within the workshop to maintain the ever increasing technical aspects of fleet repair. Applicant will be expected to be head and shoulders above all current shop floor employees.
