Sr. Engineer Spectrum Planning

• Ensure that frequency spectrum management is conducted strictly in accordance with national and international rules and regulations

• Plan the radio frequency spectrum to improve spectrum efficiency and flexibility to implement new technologies

• Develop National Frequency Plan for the allocation of frequencies to various services

• Maintenance of the National Frequency Assignment Plan (NFAP) and the National Frequency Allocation Table (NFAT)

• Ensure optimum utilization of available frequencies

• Devises plans for recommendation for re-use of the radio spectrum in an efficient manner.

• Prepares the Electromagnetic Compatibility study.

• Develop and update strategic national radio regulation and national table of frequency allocation based on the provisions of ITU convention, radio regulations and outcome of World Radio communication Conference (WRC)

• Judge the conformity of any proposed frequency usage within national legislation and international regulations

• Develop the necessary guideline for the electromagnetic radiation and ensure that the measured level in Qatar is in-line with the international standard.
