Quality Assurance Engineer

Creates comprehensive test plans with well defined, reusable test cases from business requirements and functional specifications documents.

Execute software-testing activities that include Functional, Security, performance, Stress and Protocol testing to validate different aspects of the product feature.

Record and maintain automated test script libraries for functional regression testing for assigned applications.

Responsible for the design, set up, and execution of (Manual and Automated) test cases/procedures within a broad scope of technology/product areas.

Document software defects in an issues tracking system and proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members.

Participate in business requirements and functional specifications reviews early in the software development life cycle process.

Manages scheduling to ensure efficient and effective product testing; identifies and reports risks to project schedule and product quality and proposes new methods to control and/or mitigate software quality-related Role Briefing Form Date: July 8th, 2014risks.

Coordinates the activities of QA Teams in the development of test plans, and test cases to meet individual project objectives while providingleadership to one or more outsourced software quality teams.

Applies test methodology, engineering and product knowledge in thedesign of tests and testing strategies for the analysis and qualification ofproducts.

Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics.

Plans and conducts analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integrationto assure the quality for large and complex multi-tier applications.

Performs quality-engineering reviews of design documentation forcompliance with stated requirements.

Communicates significant issues or developments identified during qualityassurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.

Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.

This is a hands-on testing role that reports to project manage

EducationBachelor Degree in computer engineering or related field is required.

Experience Minimum of 3 years prior experience in Software Quality Assurance
