Technician - Qatari Investors Group

JOB OBJECTIVE:To perform the day-to-day maintenance and associated other related activities to check the condition of various equipment (such as X-ray and CCTV) for noise, vibration, leakage, heat, and alignment, and carry out routine visual maintenance checks, tests and inspections on static and rotating equipments and machineries etc. to meet routine maintenance needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

DescriptionRepair & Testing Ensure that repair, testing, and associated activities are correctly performed in accordance with established maintenance policies and procedures such as the job card system to achieve a high level of quality service, smooth operations in accordance to the maintenance plan and thus achieving minimum down time. Ensure that all scheduled and on-demand maintenance activities are performed on schedule, to a high level of quality and in accordance with the maintenance schedule to ensure qualitative services at all times.Preventive Maintenance Follow and implement the written instruction from the suppliers’ technical manuals with regards to installations and maintenance and verbal or written instructions as and when required and use the necessary materials, tools and equipment to maintain and repair mechanical equipments. Check internal and external parts of static and rotating equipments for corrosion, cracks, leaks, failures and perform the necessary routine repair and servicing such as defective parts replacement, adjustment, alignment, oiling, greasing, bolting, tightening cleaning strainers, etc. Perform preventive maintenance activities as required by the supervisor to ensure smooth operations are maintained. Facility / Equipment Maintenance Maintain the maintenance facility and ensure that all maintenance test equipment is in a calibrated state to guarantee availability & proper functionality as per requirements. Assist in the improvement of system reliability, availability and maintainability by reporting observations made regarding any system deficiencies and any observed pattern in failure rates.
