Job Scope:
Assist for complete Technical processes of all vessels. Ensure adherence to all safety practices and requirements at all times and actively proactive approach in Technical department.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensures vessels under his responsibility are maintained to satisfy international regulations and company procedures.• Assists management to establish and maintain a safe management practice and system in compliance with ISM Code.• Checks and approves vessels stores and spares requisitions.• Approves invoices of suppliers.• Inspects vessels regularly and submits visit reports to the Technical Manager.• Ensures Statutory and Classification surveys for all plant and equipment on fleet vessels are carried out.• Follows up ships condition surveys for insurance purposes and Liaise with Owners/Masters to rectify outstanding and maintain ships in compliance within time limits given by surveyors.• Controls of assigned budgets.• Controls all vessels maintenance.• Preparations of vessels budget and controls of running cost.• Studies, discuss, proposes and solves technical problems of company managed vessel; this includes Tech. reports, Monthly work lists...etc.• Assists follow up marine claims with P&I and H&M Underwriters by collection of data and supporting documents.• Prepares Owner Monthly Technical Reports for vessels under his responsibility.• Authorized to approve orders for material, spare parts, repairs or other vessel requirements within approved budget frames.• Assist the Technical Manager in other tasks as requested
