Chef de Partie - Somewhere Hotel Apartment

We are currently looking for young talents, enthusiastic aspirants who have passion for hospitality



Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled.

Initiates and oversees the production of all meals produced during the shift and in preparation for other shifts.

Responsible for taking delivery and safe storage of deliveries for your section as directed by the Junior Sous Chef.

Prepare, cook and present dishes within your specialty to the quality and standards expected.

Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.

Participates in buffet set up and decoration.

Assists during meal periods that buffet tables and a la carte mis en place is kept replenished and attractive for the duration of service.

Supervise the activities of the Commis Chefs and stewarding during the shift.

Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.

Ensure necessary paperwork, administration, controls and records are undertaken and maintained as directed by the Executive Chef to include Health & Safety, Food Safety and any other as requested.

Comply with all HACCP requirements and procedures as per Somewhere Hotels standards.

Ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following cleaning routines and through ongoing diligence during the shift and in set up and clean down procedures.

Reports any malfunctioning equipment, ensuring that any non-working equipment is removed from operation.

Follows up on maintenance requests.

Deal with guest requests, comments and concerns promptly and professionally with follow up where required to ensure guest satisfaction.

Communicates to the Junior Sous Chef any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information.

Assist with the provision of on the job training for department staff.

Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
