Engineer, Process - RO - Marafiq

Monitor and test the performance of processes and auxiliaries in the Power (GTG) area to ensure proper operation and compliance with established parameters in order to deliver uninterrupted service and product to the customer.

The position reports to the Lead Engineer Process. The jobholder is responsible to monitor and test performance of processes and auxiliaries in the Power (GTG) area to ensure proper operations and compliance with established parameters for delivering uninterrupted service & quality products to the customers. The job holder is challenged to stay abreast of developments and innovations in the field, determine what is suitable for deployment in the company and raise appropriate recommendations. The jobholder is exposed to normal plant conditions - fumes, heat, noise, high voltage, high speed rotating equipment, etc.



Minimum Qualifications:

 University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum Experience:

 4-6 years’ operational, maintenance or plant/ process engineering experience in a heavy industrial or utilities environment.

 Experience of process engineering within the utility sector.

 Experience of managing a team of qualified professional Process Engineers.

 Experience of working with business management systems such as SAP.

 Considerable project management experience, including extensive liaison with external contractors.

Job-Specific Skills:

 Good knowledge of specific process engineering disciplines in power generation, electrical distribution desalination and all relevant water treatment processes.

 Good knowledge of process engineering design principles.

 Deep knowledge of all relevant international engineering standards and codes of practice
