Basrah Customs Coordinator - Shell

Main activities will cover:

· Coordination of material movements with the Freight Control Tower and multiple sub contractors and their agents, with 100+ liveorders and 40 - 50 shipments in process at any given time.

· Work closely with SOC Customs Department and Freight Forwarding agents to process SIPD letters, including the translation of Englishtext into Arabic..

· Manage timely approval of Import documentation, in advance of shipment arrival.

· Interface between site material control and import agentto ensure deliveries in accordance with schedule requirements

· Ensure that order, documentation, transportation andcustoms clearance status reporting is accurate and maintain auditable records.

· Work closely with and support the local agents andsub-contractors in processing and extending, temporary import approvals.

· Manage timely approval of specific import licenses

through the Ministry of Oil, CMC, Customs Intelligence Unit and otherstakeholders.

· Running key operational reports to monitor process andtaking action to address process bottlenecks and held shipments.

· Manage updates /Contracts on a timely basis toavoid delays in Customs clearance

· Complying to CPPM and other procedure and controlrequirements to ensure necessary document retention to ensure full costrecovery of Logistics activities.

· Maintain records of all shipments imported

· Attending meetingsseveral times per week to expedite the clearance of shipments.

· Coordinating the activities of two Customsadministrators.
