- Carry out orthopaedic surgical activities in the Mission, taking into consideration MSF protocols, ICRC war surgery protocols and hygiene and infection control protocols and standards.
- provide adequate cares to patients either in ER, OT, ward and OPD.
- Provide specialized support in ER for the evaluation, stabilization and decision-making for patients received.
- Insure surgical follow-up of intervention till the patient’s exit from the hospital and after (if follow-up needed).
- Participate actively in the monitoring and the reporting of surgical activities (correctly fill in patient files, forms, statistics, reports) Ensure a relevant transfer of information to the next colleague on duty.
- Report immediately to the OT nurse supervisor any problem arising in the service, especially the loss/ robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines.
- Upon request can be involved in teaching, training and research activities for a general improvement of the hospital.
- Visit Zaatari MSF Hospital weekly to provide follow up care to orthopaedic patients admitted there.
