Sales Manager

JOB OBJECTIVE:

To manage the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans and initiatives as well as tenders and quotations in order to achieve sales targets and increase the company’s revenues and continuous growth in alignment with the company’s business plan.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

Strategy Contribution and Implementation

 Contribute to the development of the departmental strategy and ensure effective cascading of departmental strategy into sales & marketing policies and procedures in line with the overall business objectives.

People Management

 Manage the effective achievement of objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximise subordinate and the overall performance.

Organisation Structure

 Support the GM in defining an optimum departmental structure so that resources are optimally utilised and communication can take place in an efficient manner.

Budgets and Plans

 Prepare the budget for the respective section and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.

 Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets while promoting effective budget and cost control.

Business Development/ New Opportunities

 Ensure the identification and development of new innovative concepts to improve the range and quality of the services provided by the company and ensure responsiveness to changes in the external environment.

 Manage and undertake business development initiatives and major client accounts, and coordinate with related parties to effectively manage all other accounts to ensure proper follow up with all the company’s existing and potential clients.

 Present to and advise the company/ Board of Directors and other parties as may be directed by the GM on all sales, marketing, and business development related subjects.

 Identify new value added business opportunities using innovative concepts, while considering changes in the market environment, which can be converted into revenue generating opportunities in line with business objectives.

Sales and Marketing Management

 Manage company’s sales and marketing activities including identifying and developing new customers, negotiating and concluding sales contracts and maintaining ongoing relations.

 Manage and control the section’s performance and finances to ensure that all targets are met.

 Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing methods, approach, costs, and results to provide appropriate advice for enhancement of these methods.

 Own and ensure achievement of sales targets set for the company in order to realise superior financial performance for the company and contribute in the increase of revenues.

 Ensure development and implementation of corrective actions suggested by the management in order to improve sales.

 Manage the proper development, maintenance, and updating of the client database to ensure the effective documentation and archiving of all contracts and agreements.
