Role SummaryThe Riyadh Metro project team is looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Estimator to lead a ProjectEstimating consultancy consortium team responsible for the management and review of constructionestimating to support the build of this major rail programme.Reporting into the Contracts Administrator, this is a senior level position where the chosen candidate will beleading an experienced team of both international and Saudi Project Estimators.The Senior Project Estimator will focus on developing and implementing effective estimating processes andsystems and will also act as source of authoritative advice on cost planning and estimating matters.The Senior Project Estimator will have a proven track record in providing departmental leadership onestablishing and implementing estimating policy. The chosen candidate will be familiar with the estimatingneeds of a major project (civil and electromichanical works) and will have proven ability in establishingmethods and procedures used to prepare construction estimates among multi-divisional groups.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Leading and developing a team of project cost estimators performing cost estimating Providing training and guidance to the project cost estimating team in the preparation of changeorders cost estimation. Acting as the source of authoritative advice on cost estimating matters, including cost negotiationswith contractors on subjects which are related to contract change orders. Leading work to develop commercial cost planning approaches and to improve feedback and data inrelation to process and cost intelligence Contributing to the review of activities and methodologies required to drive continuousimprovement in the cost estimating function Developing and implementing consistent cost reporting templates to capture and analyze relevantdata Providing guidance on cost estimation, cost measurement and risk assessment in collaboration with the relevant services in the project management . Providing guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex estimating problems Reviewing, developing and challenging estimates received from the Design-Build contractors to contribute to the effective, cost driven management for the project Accumulating, evaluating, and maintaining the program estimate database based on historical data and current market condition Preparing detailed breakdown of components and elements of estimates for systems and subsystems
