The chief architect is also responsible for defining EA processes such as the EA assurance process and for leading the integration of these processes with other related business and IT processes.

- Leading the creation or evolution of the EA function or program, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture viewpoints- Understanding, advocating and supporting the enterprise's business and IT strategies- Leading the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture requirements; analyzing industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise- Analyzing the current business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement- Leading and facilitating the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision making for the enterprise- Ensuring that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities (such as handling waivers) are associated with EA compliance- Leading the development of an implementation plan for the EA, based on business requirements and IT strategies; overseeing EA implementation, ongoing EA refinement activities, and the documentation of all EA design and analysis work- Consulting with program/project teams to fit solutions to architecture across all viewpoints- Identifying organizational requirements for the resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the EA- Promoting the EA process, outcomes and results to the organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders; this includes assessing (through appropriate metrics) and communicating the achievement and impact of the EA, as well as leading the development and execution of an EA communication and education plan
Profile
- Mandaotry Bachelors Degree- Previous experience as a successful enterprise architect highly desirable- Seven to 10 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, solution architecture, network management, application development, middleware design, information analysis, database management or operations management) in a heterogeneous environment - or five years of experience in solution architecture, business analysis or business strategic planning- Demonstrated track record of leading high-performance teams toward the successful attainment of challenging goals- Knowledge of all components of a holistic EA- Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes- Basic knowledge of financial analysis and models
