Manager of Civil Structural Section - Merge Recruitment

•Directs the Structural section and leads engineering duties related to planning and designing the required drawings and sketches related to structural works through application of the principles of design, structural dynamics theories, the distribution of loads, stresses

resulting from loads, and strength of materials…etc. Ensures proper planning, evaluating, selecting and applying the engineering techniques, procedures and criteria knowledge of civil/structural design

as well as the required civil/structural calculations to prepare the structural drawings and create a structural system that can function safely and economically in line with the agreed upon design criteria, project/client cost requirements, specifications and international industry codes.

•Monitors Business Unit's performance against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and preventive/ corrective actions are taken

accordingly.

•Disseminates instructions, circulars and information in addition to issuing administrative, organizational and technical decisions necessary to fulfill endorsed plans and executive programs.

•Analyzes and studies the Scope of Work (SOW), client requirements and any other data related to the project such as site surveys, topography and detailed soil information, and supervises the structural team accordingly.

•Plans and supervises the preparation of the preliminary structural design and analysis calculations to come up with a various

Structural system alternatives following construction and government

standards, using design software and drawing tools such as ETABS, SAFE, Sap 2000, STAAD, PCAL col…etc. and prepares the Structural Design Criteria report.

•Provides technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs.
