CH2M HILL Project Manager - Dammam, Saudi Arabia



Job Purpose



This requisition form is for the role of Project Manager who will provide manage all the projects activities and resources during the entire project phases to ensure that the project executed in accordance with the design and in accordance to the quality, safety and client’s requirements and that the requirements of the construction contract are followed.



Job Responsibilities





Acts as prime point of contact for the Project with the client and contractors, including progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality control and design modifications.

Overall responsibility of delivering and handing over the project successfully and safely to the client in accordance with the contract requirements.

Management and direction of a design and site teams.

Identifies the resource requirements for the effective supervision of the project and manages the supervision team.

Proven record of delivering similar projects within budgets and to schedule.

Ensure Quality procedures are maintained.

Builds a trusted relationship with the management team and with the client’s counterpart staff.

Establishes an appropriate working relationship with the contractors.

Places an emphasis on safe construction practices (Target Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. Leads by example in driving safe practices on site.

Uses effective project management and controls systems for regularly reporting on progress.

Monitors progress of construction against the program, and takes steps to ensure the program is achieved.

Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the supervision works and monitors it for improvement. Cooperates with audits required in accordance with the contract requirements and internal systems.

Defines the scope of work of any sub-consultants and ensures that their employment is effectively administered.

Contributes to the safety and build-ability reviews of the proposed designs.

Evaluates, selects, and adapts construction management and control techniques, procedures, and criteria to suit job tasks, and devises and implements solutions to problems encountered.

Ensures that the Construction Supervision team members effectively identify, manage and report project risks.

Basic Qualifications



Job Requirements





BSc in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Practical experience for no less than (10 years) in the field of supervision of construction works and mechanical installations of the treatment plants and wells.

At least 5 years of experience shall be focus on the projects of desalination plants and water projects.

Be able to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives.

English

Excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.

Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.

Be enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations.
