Purpose:
To translate the concept/sketch design produced by the Engineer into detailed coordinated drawings. Assist in design and calculations.
- Develop sketches/ideas/concepts into fully coordinated working drawings.
- Assist in providing concepts to the Engineer in charge so that they can be approved by the Client/Architect/Project Manager/Head of Department to enable their development.
- Carryout detailed coordination with other disciplines and highlight potential clashes to the engineer to resolve if engineering input is required.
- Assist in formulation of CAD/Revit design standards/manuals and typical details for standardisation of drawings and to avoid work/production duplication.
- Assist in setting up a drawing register so that information flow between the departments and site can be followed and/or traced.
- Assist in drawing filing and archiving to enable easy access.
