Construction Site Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction/Site Manager to join an expanding International Construction Company in Doha, Qatar.



This role reports to the Operations Manager, and will be responsible for the following functions:



•Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans and specifications; conferring with management.



• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.



• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; reviewing cost estimates.



• Facilitate request of materials based on the approved material and to verify quantities with QS/Estimation department.

• Make sure that installations conforms to product performance specifications, conducting field tests as required.



• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements, and relaying same to planning engineer and management.



• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.

• Verify the deliveries of materials to site are in order and all records logged; manage maintenance of relevant records and documents at site for monitoring progress as well as expenditures to include manpower, equipment, tools and all resources



• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.



• Controls project costs by reviewing expenditures; managing contractor contracts.



• Provides data for project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.



• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.



• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.



• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Able to communicate with all trades, engineers, consultant and client for all matters pertaining to his assigned project’s.

• Can perform basic estimation and formulate bill of quantities if required.

• Minimize field change orders by utilizing experience, and available team member assistance.

• Can handle numbers of projects assigned to him with minimum supervision.

• Able to work under pressure, and with minimal supervision.
